Biography

Daniel Orievweruvwe has over 5 years of experience in providing quality education and supporting social development programs. His extensive experience cuts across working with young people in both academic and recreational environments, designing and coordinating social impact programs/projects, and leading capacity-building initiatives. In addition to tutoring children and teenagers academically, he had also coached children on board games (scrabble and chess) and mentored over 50 volunteer students on adolescent reproductive health and HIV/AIDS awareness.

Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Benin, Benin City, and has also studied for a Professional Diploma in Education at Babcock University, Ileshan-Remo, Ogun State. He is an alumnus of both Teach For Nigeria (2017 cohort) and the Young Africa Leadership Initiative (YALI) Emerging Leaders program (2019, Online Cohort 11).

For Africa to develop and transform herself, her citizens must know who they are, they must be proud of their heritage, intellectually attuned to the needs of the community and world at large, and have the capacity to lead transformatively. Read More
