The Executive

Chizoba Imoka

Executive Director

Chizoba is the Executive Director of UVA. She holds a Masters in Educational Administration and International Development Education from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing a PhD. Chizoba’s excellence and contributions in the community, professional life and academia have gained her great recognition.

She is the recipient of the 2013 Heroes Award for Selfless Service to Africa, Global Citizenship Award from the University of Alberta International, Teamwork Award from Alberta Transportation and the BBPA Minerva Scholarship for academic excellence. Chizoba is a Junior Fellow at Massey College in University of Toronto.

Abdul-Aziz Garuba

Operations Director

Aziz is a creative and charismatic finance professional with a flair for transformation initiatives. He is keenly interested in strategy and development. Aziz holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a focus on Accounting and is a Chartered Professional Account (CPA).

Aziz is excited about the passion and dedication UVA has for promoting social change through today’s youth. As a member of the UVA team, Aziz serves as Operations Director.

Raphael Imoka

Communications & Marketing Director

Raphael has been volunteering actively with UVA in several capacities over few years. He graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a double major in International Business and Marketing and completed a certificate in project management from Sauder School of Business.

Raphael works in a business development role in the financial compliance sector. Raphael brings his experience in business development, and managing & executing marketing projects as the Communications and Marketing Director at UVA

Dr. Femi Ogunsanya

Founder/MD, Oxbridge Tutorial College

Former senior lecturer at the University of Lagos and Research Fellow at the University College London, Dr Olufemi Ogunsanya is the Founder/MD of Nigeria’s premier sixth form college – Oxbridge Tutorial College. Dr. Ogunsanya obtained her Ph.D in Microbiology from the University of Bristol and is very passionate about youth development and nation building. To give back, she serves on a number of boards and committees across Lagos State.

Mr. Femi Adesina

Special Advisor to the President of Nigeria, Media & Publicity

Femi Adesina is a Nigerian Newspaper columnist and Editor-in-Chief of The Sun Newspaper. He is the incumbent president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors and special adviser on media and publicity to Muhammadu Buhari, the President of Nigeria.

Mrs. Sade Adefisayo

Director, Corona Secondary School

Merit Award winner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Sade Adefisayo is the Director of Corona Secondary School, Agbara. She has over 28 years of experience in the Finance and Banking industry and over eight years experience leading Nigeria’s oldest private school council – Corona Schools’ Trust Council. Mrs. Adefisayo is a seasoned professional with a passion for education and human development.

Mrs. Adijat Olaniyi-Olopade

MD/CEO, FBN Bank Guinea

Happily married with two lovely boys who are the centre of her life, Mrs. Adijat Bolanle Olaniyi-Olopade is the Managing Direct/CEO of the Guinea operations of First Bank of Nigeria. She is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School and obtained her MBA from the University of Lagos. Mrs. Olaniyi-Olopade is passionate about people, mentoring and knowledge sharing. Among other things, she enjoys dancing.

Mrs. Ebi Obaro

CEO/Founder, Maple Education Canada Inc.

A Certified Canadian Immigration Consultant & a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council, Mrs Obaro is the CEO of Maple Education Canada Inc, a Canadian Immigration consultancy firm that has being in business for over ten years with offices in Canada, Lagos, Abuja & Port-Harcourt. Mrs Obaro is passionate about Canadian Education and the opportunities that Canada has to offer.
